It all seems so normal at first, this simple retail job. Annoying customers. Insane coworkers. But then reality goes sideways, and this group of people with nothing in common except the place they work have to find a way to cope.

TRU-Life Adventures is updated five times a week, Monday through Friday. As of 2018, it is one of two webcomics still consistently putting out updates on this schedule as part of the Daily Grind Ironman Challenge.

The strip is produced using Inkscape and The GIMP, along with a healthy supply of Exact Vellum Bristol Cover Stock, Pentel QE405 mechanical pencils with red lead, and a variety of Kuretake brush pens. Lettering is achieved primarily through the miracle of the Komika font family, with an assortment of Blambot and Comicraft typefaces thrown in for good measure.

The site runs on an increasingly-customized version of ComicGallery 1.1. The current site design is built with the W3.CSS framework.
