While I'm Thinking About It

Well, this Gordian Knot's been cut.

Right. Once it became mind-numbingly obvious that IntenseDebate wasn't going to work out, I started thinking. Why would an item that had been working fine and dandy for as long as it had suddenly stop? Something obviously had to have changed, but unless I'm clearing out the hilarious spam attempts, I don't go anywhere near that part of the site. So, nothing ever changes.

Except, of course, for the text file that holds everybody's messages. That changes every time somebody posts something! So, I cleared it out, restored the backup of the main site (you don't really think I don't have backups, do you?), and, lo and behold! Success!
