The Lone Gunmen got their start as Mulder's eccentric, newsletter-publishing buddies on X-Files. Then they got their own show, which, in traditional FOX fashion, I liked and they cancelled after less than a full season (see: Firefly, Briscoe County, Jr). Then they died saving the world in an X-Files episode titled, appropriately, "Jump the Shark". This obviously takes place before that episode (or, perhaps, they didn't really die).

The Pulitzer nominations were my own idea.
